The Origin of Ants
The meaning of the Chinese folktale is about a good man who never killed anything and has a good heart. The man has pieces of silver in a jar and a bunch of ants got in the jar and ate all of the silver. The family went to go kill all of the ants who ate the silver. The kind man did not think it was right to kill all of the ants. The man was taken to a nice palace to meet a king. The king praised him on not killing the ants and being kind. It was all a dream. My interpretation when reading this story was to be kind. Because the man did not think it was right to kill the ants and did not kill the ants he was rewarded be the king. The moral of the story is to be kind to everything. The smallest acts of kindness will mean so much to others. I liked this story. It had a good meaning behind it and it was not hard to understand.
I am confused. Did we read the same story??
